Creek Restoration & Protection
Creeks are significant habitat areas for plants, fish and other wildlife. Some are sources of water, while others are seasonal swales common to the dry-wet weather pattern in California. If creeks are perennial or seasonal but are integrated with wetlands, they will be hosts to biological resources which protected by various local, state and federal agencies. Care must be taken in order to carefully plan any disturbance, either to protect adjoining structures and land or to recovery of creek health after degradation by previous construction. We are experienced in proposing and pursuing a variety of solutions which are both effective and cost efficient. These solutions may include such approaches as boulder buttressing, crib walls, tie-back walls and planting for root assistance, subject to negotiation with the various environmental and municipal agencies.
